Getting started

Everything you need to create an account, sign in, and set up your profile.

Creating an account and verifying your email #

Go to Sign up and enter your email, choose a username and password. We’ll send a one-time code to your email — it’s valid for 10 minutes, so enter it on the same screen to verify your address and finish creating your account.

Didn’t get the code? Check your spam folder, make sure you typed your email correctly, and request a new one — the old code stops working once a new one is sent.

In plain words You must be at least 13 to use ZeroPix. See our eligibility rules.

Signing in, saved logins and switching accounts #

Sign in at Log in with your username or email and password. If you check “Remember me,” your sign-in is saved on this device for 365 days so you don’t have to log in again.

You can keep up to 5 accounts remembered on one device and switch between them from your profile picture menu, without re-entering a password each time.

Forgot or reset your password #

Select “Forgot password” on the sign-in page and enter your email. We’ll send a one-time code — enter it and choose a new password. If you’re already signed in, you can also change your password from Settings › Password.

Setting up your profile #

Head to Settings › Edit profile to add a profile photo, bio, website and other optional details. Your email, phone number, date of birth and gender are never shown on your public profile — you can manage those from Account centre.

Posts, stories and messages

How to share your photos, keep up with stories, and message other people.

Sharing a post #

Tap Upload to share up to 5 photos in one post, with a caption, alt text, hashtags, location and collaborator tags. Photos are re-encoded in your browser before upload, which keeps the file small and drops most embedded metadata.

You can edit a post’s caption and tags any time, or delete it, from the post itself.

Posting and managing stories #

Stories appear at the top of the home feed and disappear after 24 hours. Choose who can see them, or hide your story from specific people, from Settings › Story. Story replies are off — stories aren’t a messaging surface.

Story archive #

Expired stories are kept in your archive for 30 days so only you can look back on them, after which they’re deleted automatically. You can reshare an archived story to your current story at any time within that window.

Hashtags and explore #

Add hashtags to a caption to make a post discoverable under that tag’s page, and use Explore to browse trending tags and suggested posts.

Messaging #

Send text and photos from Messages. You can reply to, pin, like and edit your own messages. If you delete a message, it’s only unsent for everyone within 30 minutes of sending — after that you can still remove it from your own view.

Message requests #

A message from someone you don’t follow arrives as a request under the Requests tab in Messages, instead of your main inbox. Accept to start chatting, or decline to remove it without notifying the sender.

Part 3

Privacy & safety

Tools to control who can reach you and what you see, and how to report something that breaks the rules.

Who can mention, tag or message you #

From Settings › Privacy you can choose who can mention you, tag you in a post, or send you a message request. These settings apply across the whole app.

Blocking and muting #

Blocking someone stops them from viewing your profile, posts or stories, or contacting you, and removes any existing follow between you. Muting lets you stay connected while hiding their posts and stories from your feed, without them knowing. Manage both from Settings › Blocked or directly from a profile’s menu.

Reporting content or accounts #

Use Report on any post, profile or message, choose a reason, and add up to 250 characters of detail. Track the status of everything you’ve reported from Reports. See our moderation and enforcement policy for how reports are handled.

Verified profiles (blue tick) #

A blue tick confirms your account is the real one for the photographer, creator, brand or public figure it represents. Once your account meets the eligibility requirements, you can apply from Settings › Blue tick with a short statement and optional supporting links. Changing your display name or username later removes the tick, and you’d need to apply again.

Part 4

Your account

Day-to-day account management, and how to step away temporarily or for good.

Editing your profile and account centre #

Update your profile photo, bio and website from Edit profile, and your email, phone number, date of birth and gender from Account centre.

Light and dark theme #

Switch between light and dark theme any time from the icons in this page’s navigation bar, or from Settings › Theme. Your choice is remembered on this device.

Deactivating your account #

Deactivating hides your profile, posts and activity until you log back in, which reactivates it automatically. It’s a reversible way to take a break. Go to Settings › Deactivate to do this.

Deleting your account #

Deleting your account is permanent and removes your profile, posts, messages and other data, following our retention policy. If you’re not sure, deactivating first is the safer option. To request deletion, write to support@zeropix.in or legal@zeropix.in from your account’s email address.
